I got up - the pain was there but I decided to just go forward - this is a new day - a new week and the first day of the rest of my life (yada, yada, yada) So I decided to clean house. I cleaned up the living room, started my laundry, cleaned the kitchen and the dining room and did a load of dishes! Yea and nobody was even up then.
My son got up and took a shower. Then I started him on sweeping and mopping the floor. He reminds me so much of my brother - he must of asked 1000 questions on how to sweep the floor and mop it. Our little floor took 1.5 hours for him to sweep and mop - we are talking about approximately 200 square feet - even me being slow and in pain - I am able to do that in about 30 minutes. It did get me in hysterics though - I just kept laughing. I then took a nap and then got up and did more reading. Now that I actually am getting to settle down and read a bit - I don't want to stop.
After dinner - I read for a bit more then talked to everyone about dinner for the week so I would know what to go grocery shopping for tomorrow. Luckily since my son is on half days at school this week - I can pick him up and have him help me with the shopping.
Tuesday is his birthday so he chose that he wanted a particular type of special ice-cream (has to be dairy free since he is allergic) and steak and mashed potatoes with peas - not a bad choice for a birthday dinner!
16! I cannot believe he is almost 16! Where does the time go?
